Hiking on the Ile de Ré on themed itineraries

Walk between the elements in Loix-en-Ré (5 km, 1 hour):

Cultural walk on the Fortifications Trail (13 km, 2 hours) :
From Rivedoux-Plage, set off on foot to discover the Vauban fortifications of L’île de Ré, which blend surprisingly well with the surrounding nature. Take care on this route, as the footpath is also open to cyclists.

Ornithological walk between Saint-Clément-des-Baleines and Les Portes-en-Ré (19 km, 5 hours):

You’ll then walk through the Trousse-Chemise forest, which inspired Charles Aznavour’s song of the same name. Your hike ends on the beach, rewarded by a magnificent view of the Baleines lighthouse, before completing the loop back to your starting point.
