Comfort, space, maneuverability, reliability, aesthetics, basic equipment, budget… There are many models, many brands and many prices on the motorhome market. Thanks to our years of experience in the world of outdoor accommodation, having welcomed many motorhomes to our campsite, we have selected the best brands for you, those that offer the best value for money.

Top 6 motorhome brands

  • Bavaria: this mid-range motorhome offers good value for money
  • Pilote: available as a converted, streamlined or integral model, certainly the best-known brand.
  • Rapido: this top-of-the-range motorhome brand is highly reliable and safe
  • Roller Team: the leading low-cost motorhome brand
  • Chausson: the brand offers models up to 7m in length at unbeatable prices
  • Laïka: new motorhomes with Italian know-how available from €39,390

Profiles with central bed

Profiles are appreciated for their aesthetics, aerodynamics and comfort. In this category, the Adria, Autostar, Bavaria, Chausson, Dethleffs and McLouis brands stand out. Expect to pay at least €50,000 for a new vehicle.

A-Class

The integral motorhome seduces with its large dimensions and its cabin integrated into the rest of the vehicle. It’s ideal for families who travel several weeks and several times a year. Some have a GVW of over 3.5 tonnes and cannot be driven with a B license. Top brands include Carthago, Concorde, Frankia, Le Voyageur, Morelo, Niesmann + Bischoff and NotinLiner. New-build purchase price: from €150,000.

Family nasturtiums

The family nasturtium has become a niche. Very much in vogue a few decades ago, buyers today prefer to opt for a profile or an integral. That said, their family-friendly nature, reasonable dimensions and reasonable price are arguments that appeal to their fans. If you’re leaning towards this segment, we recommend the Benimar, Carado, Elnagh, Challenger and PLA brands.

The vans

When it comes to vans, the first model that springs to mind is usually the VW California, Europe’s leading pop-up van. Its high price (over €50,000 new) encourages buyers to trust other manufacturers such as Randger, Sunlight, Elios and Pössl.
