Webcams Ile de Ré

Your vacation on the Ile de Ré is fast approaching. You’re obviously excited at the prospect of cycling through the salt marshes and watching a magnificent sunset over the port of Ars-en-Ré, but you have a few questions. Will I be caught in traffic when I arrive on the island? Will the weather conditions be favorable for my surf lessons? With the magic of technology, you can put all your doubts and questions to rest by connecting to the webcams on the Ile de Ré. In real time and at any time, get a video preview of your vacation destination. From your Internet-connected computer, enjoy the view offered by the Rivedoux webcam, the Pont Ré webcam, the Ars-en-Re webcam or the La Flotte webcam.

Traffic

During the summer months, the island of Ré is overrun by cars and motorhomes. Traffic jams may form, particularly on the Ile de Ré bridge and at the entrance to the first villages: around Rivedoux-Plage and Sainte-Marie-de-Ré (south coast), and on the road to La Flotte (north coast). Several webcams have been installed at these locations to monitor traffic conditions. From your smartphone or tablet, you can access it and see traffic in real time at the bridge exit or on the road you’re planning to take. If there’s a traffic jam, you can wait for the road or bridge to clear, and take advantage of the opportunity to visit La Rochelle or extend your lazing session on the beach.

Beaches and harbours

The island of Ré also has several webcams near beaches and harbors. If you’re planning a boat trip or water sport, you can view real-time images of the harbor or beach you’re planning to visit. In addition to images, you can access tide, wave, wind and weather forecasts. This information is particularly useful for windsurfers, kitesurfers, surfers and sailors.
